For this comic booklet I worked together with the research team of the Newcastle University and University of Birmingham.
They did a study “Knowing the Secret Police: Secrecy and Knowledge in East German Society”.
This was a three-year project which overturns the approach of existing research to ask not what all the Stasi knew about society, but what and how East Germans knew about the “secret police”.
In this booklet I represent the 4 different strands of the study in comics – literary strand, social network study, religious strand and political network study – 36 pages, full color.
